Dr. Pietro Gatti, a veterinarian, establishes La Ticinese Farmaceutici s.n.c., a company that operates at first in the veterinary pharmacy branch as a distributor for some main pharmacy brands until the early ‘90s.
1986
La Ticinese Farmaceutici becomes the exclusive distributor for Lombardy of Hill’s, an american brand that at the time just launched a revolutionary range of diet foods specifically formulated for dogs with digestive disorders.
1993
La Ticinese expands its coverage area, becoming the exclusive Italian distributor of Nutro brand, a super premium dog & cat food manufactured in the United States.
2008
The cooperation with Champion Petfoods begins, with the launch on the italian market of the Orijen brand, pioneer range of Biologically Appropriate nutritional philosophy, that makes the canadian range stand apart thanks to the high-protein, high-meat, low-carb & grain-free formulas.
2010
The company portfolio is enriched by the brand-new Provincial range of the Acana brand, in which the Biologically Appropriate philosophy evolves towards a new concept, the All-life stages, carefully balanced formulas that nourish properly dogs of all breeds, sizes and ages.

The company name becomes Ticinese Petfood S.r.l. marking sharply the field of action of our company (active on the market since the ‘60s) with the guarantee to go on in the future with the same passion and commitment of the past.
